BRUECKE DER ÄGÄIS – HANNOVER, BREMEN, ATHEN, IZMIR
Die Brücke der Ägäis führt insbesondere junge Menschen mit der tausende Jahre alten Kultur dieses ägäischen Raumes zusammen. Dauerhafte Wissensbrücken der Politik und Ästhetik werden an den ausgewählten Orten vermittelt, aufgebaut und verankert. An diesen Orten kommen Jugendliche und erfahrene Moderator*innen für die Gestaltung demokratischer Transformationen zusammen und bauen mit der einheimischen Bevölkerung Fundamente der AGORA DES GUTEN LEBENS dauerhaft auf.
Die Brücke der Ägäis zieht Literatur, Musik und Kunst aus den Brückenräumen heran und lässt sie von unseren Künstler*innen in die Jugendbegegnung einfließen, um so das gemeinsame Verständnis und Handeln zu erleichtern. Die Handlungsgrundlagen der BRÜCKE DER ÄGÄIS sind Demokratie leben, gemeinsam handeln, ökologische Praxis und gesellschaftliche Partizipation mit Kunst.
Ziel des Projektes ist der dauerhafte Aufbau einer demokratischen AGORA, die von partizipativen Handlungen der Jugendlichen zu ÖKOLOGISCHER PRAXIS vor Ort, KULTURELLEM AUSTAUSCH und KUNSTAKTIONEN als partizipativer Kunst getragen wird. Wichtig dabei ist eine intensive Netzwerkbildung der Partner in der Ägäis, Hannover und Bremen, ergänzend auch durch digitale Plattformen und Websites.
The Bridge of the Aegean brings together young people in particular with the thousand-year-old culture of this Aegean region. Lasting knowledge bridges of politics and aesthetics are conveyed, built and anchored at the selected locations. At these locations, young people and experienced facilitators come together to shape democratic transformations and, together with the local population, build the foundations of the AGORA OF GOOD LIFE on a permanent basis.
The Bridge of the Aegean draws literature, music and art from the bridge spaces and lets our artists incorporate them into the youth encounter in order to facilitate common understanding and action. The BRÜCKE DER ÄGÄIS is based on the following principles: living democracy, acting together, ecological practice and social participation through art.
The aim of the project is the long-term establishment of a democratic AGORA, which is supported by participatory actions by young people on ECOLOGICAL PRACTICE on site, CULTURAL EXCHANGE and ART ACTIONS as participatory art. The intensive networking of the partners in the Aegean, Hanover and Bremen is important here, supplemented by digital platforms and websites.

Die „Agora des guten Lebens“ ist ein symbolischer und gleichzeitig realer Ort, der über die klassische Vorstellung eines Marktplatzes hinausgeht. Inspiriert von der antiken Agora, dem zentralen Versammlungsort für Diskussionen, Austausch und Gemeinschaft, steht dieser Begriff für Räume – physisch oder metaphorisch – in denen das „gute Leben“ gestaltet und geteilt wird. Die Agora soll von praktischem Handeln geprägt sein:
Immer stehen gelebte Demokratie, Beteiligung der Jugendlichen, Rechte der Natur, praktische ökologische Arbeiten, Ästhetik und Politik der Gesellschaft, beispielhafte Erkundungen der gemeinsamen Essenskulturen im Zentrum.
Dabei ziehen wir Bildungs- und Forschungsaktivitäten zur Stärkung einer gut funktionierenden demokratischen Gesellschaft mit innovativen Ansätzen heran und integrieren sie in die Agora. Ein besonderes Augenmerk wird auf Wege zu einer gelebten Geschlechter-Demokratie gelegt. Die Migration wird in den lebendigen demokratischen Handlungsprozess einbezogen und dabei die Benachteiligungen am Beispiel der Geschichte der Ägäis mit ihren Vertreibungen und Bevölkerungsaustauschen im Zuge der Staatenbildungen vor einhundert Jahren berücksichtigt und eine Verständigung angestrebt.
The AGORA OF THE GOOD LIFE, the AGORA ΤΗΣ ΚΑΛΗΗΣ ΖΩΗΣ, the IYI YASAMIN AGORARI has the following basic concept, outlined here as an example: The ‘Agora of the Good Life’ is a symbolic and at the same time real place that goes beyond the classic idea of a marketplace. Inspired by the ancient agora, the central meeting place for discussions, exchange and community, this term stands for spaces – physical or metaphorical – in which the ‘good life’ is organised and shared. The agora should be characterised by practical action: Living democracy, youth participation, rights of nature, practical ecological work, aesthetics and politics of society, exemplary explorations of shared food cultures are always at the centre.
We draw on educational and research activities to strengthen a well-functioning democratic society with innovative approaches and integrate them into the Agora. Special attention will be paid to ways to live gender democracy. Migration is included in the lively democratic action process, taking into account the disadvantages using the example of the history of the Aegean with its expulsions and population exchanges in the course of the formation of states one hundred years ago and striving for understanding.
Die AGORA DES GUTEN LEBENS zielt darauf ab, Expert*innen, Forscher*innen, Künstler*innen, Gemeindemitarbeiter*innen, Aktive im alternativen Reisesektor und Bürger*innen in Workshops mit den Jugendlichen der Partnerorganisationen zusammenzubringen. So können die Aktionen zum Schutz der Landschaft, die politischen Diskussionsveranstaltungen und Dialogprozesse, die Kunstaktionen und Kulturfestivals mit Musik und Graffitis, die Gemeinschaftsveranstaltungen der Agora besonders effektiv gestaltet werden. Es ergeben sich vielfältige Möglichkeiten zu erkunden, was es bedeutet, Demokratie im Alltag neu zu denken, zu erforschen und zu leben. So kann die Agora Dimensionen und Innovationen der Demokratie über gelebte eigene Erfahrungen praxistauglich machen und neue Sichtweisen mit mutigen Gestaltungsversuchen, kollektiven Visionen, Ideen und Denkschulen, ihren Möglichkeiten und Grenzen und den damit verbundenen theoretischen Debatten entstehen lassen.
Die AGORA DES GUTEN LEBENS lässt Wirklichkeiten wachsen, die sich an den visionären Idealen orientieren und gemeinschaftlich, demokratisch und kreativ sind. Es entsteht eine Praxis, in der die Zeit der Fülle gelebt werden kann. Es beteiligen sich Menschen, die lernen und leben mit Ästhetik und Politik in der Vision einer gesellschaftlichen Transformation, die sich dauerhaft verankert. Und wenn es nur bei der Vision bleibt, ist es immerhin ein öffentlicher Raum für aufklärerische Irritation und Störung.
The AGORA OF GOOD LIFE aims to bring together experts, researchers, artists, community workers, people active in the alternative travel sector and citizens in workshops with young people from the partner organisations. In this way, the actions to protect the landscape, the political discussion events and dialogue processes, the art actions and cultural festivals with music and graffiti, the community events of the Agora can be organised particularly effectively. There are many opportunities to explore what it means to rethink, explore and live democracy in everyday life. In this way, the Agora can make the dimensions and innovations of democracy practicable through its own lived experiences and give rise to new perspectives with courageous design attempts, collective visions, ideas and schools of thought, their possibilities and limits and the associated theoretical debates.
The AGORA OF THE GOOD LIFE allows realities to grow that are orientated towards visionary ideals and are collaborative, democratic and creative. A practice emerges in which the time of abundance can be lived. People participate, learn and live with aesthetics and politics in the vision of a social transformation that becomes permanently anchored. And if it only remains a vision, it is at least a public space for enlightening irritation and disruption.
Die AGORA betrachten wir als „Zwischenräume“, das gesellschaftliche Potenzial zu einer grundlegenden Umwandlung der heutigen Lebensrealität aufzubauen. Natürlich müssen Armut und wirtschaftliche Abhängigkeit überwunden werden. Daher braucht es viel Potenzial insbesondere der jungen Leute zu lebensfähigen Gründungen auf genossenschaftlichen Grundlagen.
Internationale Bildungsinstitutionen können auf europäischer Ebene kooperieren. Diese Arbeit bezieht auch die deutschen Städte Bremen und Hannover und die türkische Stadt Izmir mit ein, in denen auch
AGORAS am Einstehen sind, deren Lebenswirklichkeiten bei der Jugendbegegnung in Athen gespiegelt werden.
Wir ziehen Literatur, Musik und Kunst aus den Brückenräumen heran, bauen mit unseren Aktivitäten in Natur und Landschaft ebenfalls Brücken und lassen sie von unseren Teilnehmenden in die Jugendbegegnung einfließen.
We see AGORA as an „in-between space“ to build up the social potential for a fundamental transformation of today’s reality of life. Of course, poverty and economic dependency must be overcome. Therefore, a lot of potential is needed, especially of young people to create viable start-ups on a co-operative basis.
International educational institutions can co-operate at European level. This work also involves the German cities of Bremen and Hanover and the Turkish city of Izmir, where AGORAS is also active and whose realities are reflected at the youth meeting in Athens.
We draw literature, music and art from the bridge spaces, build bridges with our activities in nature and the countryside and allow our participants to incorporate them into the youth exchange.

Die „Agora des guten Lebens“ ist ein symbolischer Ort, der über die klassische Vorstellung eines Marktplatzes hinausgeht. As in the ancient agora, the question of what constitutes a ‘good life’ and how it can be accessible to all takes centre stage here. It is a place to develop visions for a better future together.

The Agora of the Good Life is not just a concept, but a lived principle: a place where people work together across borders to promote harmony, joy and quality of life.
The ‘Agora of the Good Life’ thus combines social, cultural and ethical aspects into a holistic vision of the good life based on community, diversity and sustainability.

The ‘Agora of the Good Life’ is a space for creating and experiencing life together, focussing on the central questions of life: What does a good life mean in a diverse and globalised world? During the exchange, participants will be inspired by creative, activist, ecological and cultural approaches to explore this question from different perspectives and enter into dialogue with each other.
